Jobs for Tennessee Graduates (JTG)
Open for all students enrolled in the Jobs for Tennessee Graduates program. Provide leadership opportunities while focusing on career exploration. Club members will attend regional JTG leadership conference and have opportunities to participate in competitions in such areas as interviewing, employment applications, business vocabulary, business math, and decision making.

American Education Week:  Springfield High JTG students recognized faculty and staff during American Education Week by preparing treats and writing letters of appreciation to them.

Mock Interviews:  JTG students at Springfield High School have been studying how to prepare for a successful interview.  On November 15, they had the opportunity to practice these skills.  Representatives from Work Force Essentials and Miller-Motte Technical College conducted mock interviews.

Field Trip to Miller-Motte Technical College:  On November 2, JTG and marketing students at Springfield High School participated in a field trip to Miller-Motte Technical College.  Students had the opportunity to tour the school, and each instructor briefed them on the programs that they teach.  Students also took a computerized assessment while they were there that revealed what types of careers they would best suited.

Requirements to join & cost: Students must be a member of a JTG class, there are no dues required.


Brief History:
JTG was implemented to keep young people in school and provide learning experiences that would lead to career advancement opportunities, participating in Pillows for Soldiers Drive, purchasing Christmas gifts for foster children. We participate in regional and state competitions. We attend the national conference.
